MS Nurse PRO provides five comprehensive, interactive courses to support the evolving role of European MS Nurses.  

Courses 1 to 5 make up our core MS Nurse PRO Foundation Programme. Each Course focuses on a different aspect of MS and it is an essential step to becoming a widely recognised MS nurse. Our Foundation Programme has been accredited by multiple national and international institutions including the ICN and RCN (see our accreditation page for more information). 

Whom should follow the programme?

The programme is suitable for nurses and allied health and social care professionals caring for people living with MS.

How long does it take to complete the programme?

It takes between 30 and 40 learning hours.

Do i receive a certificate of accreditation?

After members successfully complete all five Courses within the Foundation Programme, which includes achieving a pass mark of at least 75% in each Course exam, a certificate of accreditation can be downloaded and printed.

Do I receive a badge and certificate of completion?

Once you successfully pass the exam linked to a Course, you receive a badge and a certificate of completion. You can find them in the 'Certificates' section of My Learning. 

What to do when I have a question on the content?

You can use the Q&A section at the right hand side of the learning interface.

Your question will be submitted to the Scientific Coordinator and, if needed, the Syllabus Committee. 

We try to respond within 48 hours. 

What if I run into an issue/bug in the platform?

Contact support via the contact support button. We try to reply within 48 hours.

Can I stop and return to the Programme?

Yes, your progress is saved and can be seen in the 'My Learning' section of the platform. 

Can I take notes? 

Yes, you can take notes at the right hand side of the learning interface. They are stored in 'My Learning'.

Course 1: Understanding MS: Course
Type: Course

This course will provide the essential concepts and information required to answer patients’ questions about what causes their disease and how the disease will affect their future life.

Course 2: Clinical Presentation
Type: Course
This course reviews the different types of MS and their clinical features, including atypical presentations of the condition. Common symptoms are discussed and defined, along with the prognosis of people with MS.

Course 3: Diagnosis and Assessment
Type: Course
This course explains the diagnostic criteria for MS along with the associated diagnostic tools, their results and consequences in a manner that a nurse can easily understand and interpret, and then relay to a person who has MS.

Course 5: Care and Support
Type: Course
This course examines the relationship of the person with MS and the nurse. Participants learn about the psychological and social impact MS can have on individuals and their families. This includes mental health issues such as depression and anxiety.

Course 4: Treating MS (NEW)
Type: Course
Course 4 reviews the pharmacologic management of MS. It explores current disease modifying therapies (DMTs) and associated nursing issues. Symptom management is discussed with an emphasis on pharmacologic management.
